2021 AGM – via Zoom
ASTT’s 2021 AGM a first for the group being held entirely over Zoom, The Meeting was held on Saturday 6th March 2021. Due to the continuing national crisis no persons could attend a physical meeting. However the use of Zoom allowed for international members to participate and interact during the post-AGM presentations. 34 members attended, including 5 from EU countries, and apologies were received from 10 others.
The 6th of March saw the 6th Annual General Meeting of the Advanced Steam Traction Trust. Post AGM presentations were given by Andrew Hartland and Jamie Keyte.
The focus for each of these presentations was that of “Why did BR give up on Steam” and that of an update to the 10 1/4 inch gauge locomotive “Revolution” project being undertaken by the Advanced Steam Traction Trust. From its proposal in Newsletter No.9 (April 2019) and the 2019 conference in Crewe, work on Revolution has been progressing at a steady rate.
